Private Rental Vacation Homes For Those Who Can Affort The Luxury

Many people rent out their homes for vacation use. I live near Saratoga Springs, N.Y. During the thoroughbred racing meet in July and August, getting a place to stay is next to impossible unless you plan ahead. For the very rich and famous private rental vacation homes are a must.

A huge number of people who live close to the track move out of their homes in August and rent them to visiting racing enthusiasts. Many rent to the same people year after year. The owners, jockeys, and trainers often prefer renting a home to staying in a hotel for the whole month. Saratoga is booming during the meet and people often make enough extra money to pay theri taxes for an entire year.

People who buy vacation homes as an investment in resort areas often place them with management companies to rent out when they are not in use by the owner. The management companies take care of everything from advertising to property maintainence. The prospective renters are carefully screened and most pay prior to arrival. This is especially helpful if you live a distance from your property. The fees you pay the management company are well worth it.

You can rent a private home almost anywhere in the country and beyond. One of our friends inherited a home on Cape Cod that they seldom use. They go once or twice a summer and rent it out the rest of the time. I think everyone who rents out their home probably worries about someone damaging the property. Careful screening will avoid this. Decide what rules you would like enforced. Many people do not rent to smokers or people with pets. I noticed in almost all beach rentals listed that they do not rent to large groups of students under a certain age without adults. No Girls Gone Wild in your house.

If you want to avoid staying in a crowded motel or resort, consider renting a private vacation home. Treat it as you would your own home, and chances are you'll be back year after year. Most owners love to have repeat tenents. In fact many people books their private rental vacation homes years in advance.
